这几年，美国越来越封闭了
先是搞贸易摩擦
不让国际商品进去
It first caused frictions to curb trade,
The US has become increasingly
closed in the past few years.
再搞技术冷战
切断科学交流
then cut exchanges among scientists
to wage a “technology Cold War”,
最近又盯上了留学生
阻碍他们完成学业的旅程
recently it even tried to curb flows
of international students.
照这个趋势下去
美国全国都要变成建墙大工地
If this trend continues, the US will become
a giant construction site,
美国干脆建堵墙
把自己围里边得了！
building walls along its border,
shutting itself inside.
美国之所以日益封闭
根源在于政客空空如也的脑子
It is the wall-minded brains of US politicians
that are the reason for this.
一方面有着根深蒂固的冷战思维
They have nothing in their minds
but a Cold War mentality
和时不时冒出来的被迫害妄想
and deep-rooted McCarthyism.
另一方面习惯于无视国际规则
They care little about international rules,
跟全世界都反着来
and want to block
what the whole world promotes
美国这么干
简直是在逆全球化行事
By doing so the US is trying to
harm globalization,
也是在给自己挖坑
but others will not stand idly
by while it does this.
迟早会被自己制造的麻烦撂倒
and ultimately it will only harm itself,
到时候吃亏的还是美国人民
and the US people will suffer
because of their politicians’ folly.
美国政客也会因为坑美国老百姓
If that happens, US politicians
who betray their people’s interests
而付出代价
will pay for that.
